The other day I was talking to a friend of mine about how no one seems to be able to think they can create anything. I feel a lot of it is due to the internet with so many websites to view & watch others. Even the simple fact that download speeds are generally much faster than upload speeds. I really feel that focusing less on what other people are doing is better for your own creativity & mental health in general.

In the meantime, you should come out to Gainesville this February. Vox Graphis, the design club at UF, puts on a symposium (called Ligature) each year. We’ve had some really great names come out (last Feb. we had Debbie Millman) and it’s always a really inspiring weekend. I’ll have to remember to fill you in when we get closer to the event.
